Parts Advisor Apprenticeship

The role of a Vehicle Parts Advisor is to provide each and every one of our customers with consistently high levels of service within the Parts Department. This Apprenticeship Programme is an exciting opportunity to kick start your career with Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automaker and mobility tech companies. We’re looking for a highly motivated candidate to become a qualified Parts Advisor and develop a long-term career with an ambitious brand.

The Role of a Parts Advisor:

Parts Advisors are also known as vehicle parts operatives. They are responsible for ordering, selling and managing stock control on a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories. 

Whilst the role may vary by employed based on the specific needs to the location, the duties of a Parts Advisor Apprentice will typically include:

  • Building relationships with internal and external customers
  • Taking orders from customers in person and over the phone
  • Maintaining stock room
  • Identifying parts
  • Processing payments for parts sold
  • Working with technicians to ensure they have the correct parts to complete their work

Working Week

A typical working week could be 40 hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm. However, each of our Dealers will have different requirements.

All learners will be required to work the minimum apprenticeship duration of 30 hours per week. 

At least 20% of your working hours will be allocated to ‘off-the-job’ training, which you will learn more about during the recruitment process.

Your Development and Future Prospects

The Programme typically lasts between 12 and 24 months depending on the career path chosen and you’ll achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

We will support you to gain your Functional Skills, Core Skills in Scotland, if you require them in Maths and English.

All of our Apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week-long block training at our state-of-the-art Training Centre in Coventry.

Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced Coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules.

Your development is supported through your Stellantis Apprenticeship journey, with your learning focused towards achieving a qualification recognised across the motor industry. This will provide the foundation to develop your career, as there are lots of opportunities within our expanding Dealer Network to progress and move into new roles once you’re qualified. 

Qualification: Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner

Duration: 12-24 months

Salary: Our employers determine the level of pay our learners receive. All employers are required to pay, at least, The National Apprenticeship Wage of £4.81 per hour.

Entry requirements

Age: 16+

Qualifications: GCSE (or equivalent) Level 4 plus in Maths and English

Predicted grades are accepted

Equivalent grades include:

  • BTEC first diplomas and certificates
  • OCR Nationals
  • Key Skills Level 2
  • NVQs
  • Essential Skills (Wales)
  • Functional Skills Level 2
  • Core Skills (Scotland)

In Scotland, applicants must have or be predicted to achieve National 4 or above in English and Maths and either a Science or Technical subject. Standard Grades 1-4 and Intermediates are also accepted.
