Sales Executive

Job Role


The role of a Vehicle Sales Advisor is to sell new and used vehicles and to provide each and every one of our customers with consistently high levels of customer service.

You’ll learn how to identify a customer’s needs and interests; advise customers; promote the features and benefits of vehicles; appraise vehicles; and negotiate difficult sales.

This exciting apprenticeship programme is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people, a challenging and varied working environment and who wants to develop a long term career with an ambitious automotive brand.

The duties of a Sales Executive may include:

  • Greeting customers, discussing their needs and advising them on the most suitable vehicle
  • Arranging test drives
  • Negotiating sale and trade-in prices
  • Working out finance arrangements and packages, which may include organising registration plates, road tax and delivery of vehicles
  • Highlighting any additional products relevant to the customer
  • Processing orders and completing relevant paperwork, which may include carrying out stock checks using manufacturers’ databases
  • Updating customers on the progress of orders and contacting potential customers to update them about new vehicles and deals
  • Updating stock lists
  • Managing advertising and updating the website
  • Keeping the forecourt and cars clean and tidy
  • Providing potential customers with relevant literature and information
  • Inspecting vehicles pre- and post- sale
  • Attending auctions

A typical working week could be 40 hours Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, however each of our Dealers will have different requirements.

All learners will be required to work the minimum apprenticeship duration of 30 hours per week. At least 20% of your working hours will be allocated to ‘off-the-job’ training. We’ll support you to understand the working hours during the recruitment process.

Parts Customer Advisor

Job Role


The role of a Parts Customer Advisor is to provide each and every one of our customers with consistently high levels of service within the Parts Department.

This exciting apprenticeship programme is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people and wants to learn more about stock management, vehicle parts, maintenance and repair. We’re seeking ambitious people who are keen to develop a long term career with an ambitious brand.

The duties of a Parts Customer Advisor may include:

  • Advising customers on how to solve a problem with their vehicle
  • Taking orders from customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts from stock
  • Raising invoices for parts sold
  • Liaising with other members of staff
  • Working alongside on-site Service Technicians to ensure they have the parts needed to complete their daily work

Our Dealers dictate the remuneration that our learners receive. All Dealers are required to pay, at least, The National Minimum Wage. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship.
